WHAT WE DO ?
Finerside Music & Media Group CIC exists to amplify and elevate urban culture in all its forms. Our mission is to champion the music , media and creative expressions that define contemporary urban communities - especially genres such as rap , grime , drill and other emerging styles. We do this by delivering high quality services , meaningful opportunities and innovative projects that empower artists , creators and young talent. Through production , media support , cultural initiatives , protection of heritage and community driven programmes, we aim to nurture authentic voices , strengthen creative industries and ensure urban culture is recognised , respected and represented at the highest levels Up North !
OUR JOURNEY
2022 - 2023
FSMG was born. Created by Kiam Wilkes aka Kay Grindz.
The 2022-2023 phase marked the birth of FSMG, founded by Kiam Wilkes aka (Kay Grindz). During this period, the focus was on building the structure of the organisation from the ground up. It was a time of intense development, planning and vision-setting - establishing the foundations that would later shape FSMG - a community movement into a fully fledged community interest company named Finerside Music & Media Group CIC.
2023 - 2024
FSMG began to gain real traction , manage creatives and provide projects & services
From 2023-2024 FSMG began gaining real momentum. We started managing our first creatives, delivering projects and services that showcased our growing capability and vision. This phase marked our shift from development to action - proving what FSMG could achieve and setting the stage for wider community impact.
2025 - PRESENT
It became clear that there is a demand for what we offer. So , we registered as a CIC
By 2025, it became clear that there was a real and growing demand for what we do. In response, we formalised our mission by forming a Community Interest Company and officially registering Finerside Music & Media Group CIC with Companies House. This phase represents our transition into a fully established organisation - committed to delivering impact , serving creators and scaling the work that communities across the north have been asking for.
